Amy Winehouse [ tickets ] has been diagnosed with emphysema and could--within one month--land in a wheelchair with a permanent oxygen mask if she doesn't stop smoking crack cocaine and cigarettes, the Sunday Mirror reported. Doctors told the 24-year-old performer if she goes back to smoking drugs, it won't just ruin her voice, it will kill her, her father told the Mirror.Winehouse reportedly underwent an extensive series of tests when she was hospitalized last week after fainting at her London-area home. In addition to the emphysema, the tests revealed a lump in her chest. However, a scan reportedly has shown it is not cancerous and there are no traces of cancer in her blood.Winehouse also was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat, however it now has been regulated with medication.Mitch Winehouse said he hopes his daughter will be able to perform at the upcoming Glastonbury Festival because he believes she abstains and regulates her drug use when she has to do a show. Doctors reportedly said Winehouse is physically able to perform as long as she stays off drugs.

Us Newsman Tim Russert Dead
Revered U.S. news anchor and political pundit TIM RUSSERT has collapsed and died at his office in Washington, D.C.
The longtime Meet The Press host had just returned from a family vacation in Italy. Friend and colleague Tom Brokaw called Russert, 58, "one of the premiere political analysts and journalists of his time.... He'll be missed as he was loved, greatly."
As well as becoming a beloved face on U.S. political news and opinion shows, Russert, who began his career as an attorney, was also a bestselling author - his books Big Russ + Me and The Wisdom of Our Fathers both topped the New York Times book list.
Russert, the senior vice president of NBC News in America, also mediated the recent TV political debates between presidential wannabes Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John MCCain.
He died of a heart attack.

Foxboro Hot Tubs, Stop, Drop And Roll
With its faux-battered sleeve and go-go dancing logo you'd be right in thinking that Stop, Drop And Roll owes something to the 60s. As all fans now undoubtedly know, Foxboro Hot Tubs are, in reality, Green Day having a little retro fun on the side with their touring band along for the ride. 20-odd years on, the boys are as busy as ever, following a stamp-of-approval appearance in the Simpsons Movie in 2007. Much of this material was previously available free from the band's website but now, with an actual live tour in the offing, the album gets a proper physical release. Fans will go crazy, the rest of us may be a little less keen.
The problem with an album of pastiches is a question of authenticity. A comparable project would be the Dukes Of Stratosphear ; in reality XTC on a mission to recreate the best psychedelic sounds from their youth. Their two albums really did sound like they'd fallen through a hole in the space/time continuum. But Green Day, arch proponents of the three-minute punk pop outburst, while attempting various stylistic variations here, only really convince on the tracks that, well, sound like Green day (albeit Green day with the bass turned down). These include the title track, Mother Mary and Pieces Of Truth. It makes the whole album something of an oddity. Was it intended as a full-on recreation of an era, or are we just meant to take it as a GD album with many nods to the past? On either score it doesn't quite work. Stop, Drop And Roll is the 60s filtered through 80s punk.
Elsewhere the obvious nods are the Kinks (Alligator), The Doors (Red Tide), The Yardbirds (Dark Side Of Night) and a whole slew of garage punk (in the Nuggets sense of the word) bands like the Standells, Shadows Of Knight (Ruby Room, 27th Ave. Shuffle). It's the latter type of songs that best suit the band's dynamic: All blusterung chords, minimal guitar lead lines and a touch of wiggly organ thrown in for good measure. The writing is tight, the playing suitably spry and the hooks are plentiful. Certainly plentiful enough to keep the faithful happy for now. Yet, not unlike the Beastie Boys' recent foray into lacklustre psych funk, the majority of us will just wish that they'd get back to what they do best.

Martha Wainwright has announced that she will tour the US in support of her new album this summer.
The singer and sister of Rufus Wainwright will kick things off with headlining dates in New York and Los Angeles beginning June 12 before hitting the road with KT Tunstall in August.
Wainwright's new album, 'I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too', is due out in the US on June 10. Artists including Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, Pete Townshend and Garth Hudson of The Band contributed to the album, as previously reported.

Ex Corrie star talks about her TV future
Former 'Coronation Street' star Tina O'Brien has spoken about her hopes for the future, saying that she would love to appear on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The 24-year-old actress, who played Sarah-Louise Platt in the soap, said that she hopes to do more television work.
She told New: "I'd even consider doing 'Celebrity Big Brother' - I really love that show."
The actress didn't rule out a return to 'Coronation Street' in the future, saying: "It's good to spread your wings but I am so glad I wasn't killed off."
